The Role
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of commercial glazing and architectural glass projects across Yorkshire and the wider UK.
The Contracts Manager will take responsibility for projects from contract award through to completion, managing commercial performance, programme, client relationships, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, to specification, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple commercial glazing projects from contract award through to completion.
- Take overall responsibility for project delivery, programme, quality, and commercial performance.
- Liaise closely with main contractors, clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Review contracts, specifications, drawings, scopes of work, and project requirements.
- Manage variations, valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts.
- Identify and manage commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project costs, margins, labour, materials, and subcontractor performance.
- Coordinate procurement and ensure materials are available in line with project programmes.
- Work closely with estimators, project managers, site managers, and installation teams.
- Attend client and site meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Manage project programmes and ensure key milestones are achieved.
- Oversee subcontractors and installation teams to ensure work is completed to the required standards.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant health & safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
- Resolve project issues and disputes quickly and effectively.
- Ensure accurate project documentation, reporting, and commercial records are maintained.
