Construction Administrator

A well-established multidisciplinary engineering firm is seeking a senior-level professional to lead its Construction Administration function across mechanical and plumbing projects.

This role is suited to an experienced engineer who prefers the construction phase of delivery and brings strong technical judgment, contractor coordination experience, and field awareness. The position will oversee submittals, RFIs, and site observations while serving as a key liaison between design teams, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Construction Administration efforts across commercial building projects
• Review submittals and respond to RFIs for mechanical and plumbing scopes
• Conduct periodic site visits and coordinate with contractors
• Provide technical oversight and guidance during the construction phase
• Support limited Revit/CAD coordination related to field changes

Ideal Background:

• 15+ years' experience in mechanical engineering or plumbing systems
• Strong exposure to commercial projects such as multi-family, office, and retail
• Based in Charlotte, NC
