Composite Technician
Location: San Francisco Bay Area
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a highly motivated Composite Manufacturing Technician to support the production of advanced composite components and assemblies in a fast-paced, cutting-edge manufacturing environment.
Working closely with Production and Engineering teams, you will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly, inspection, and finishing of high-quality components while adhering to strict quality, safety, and performance standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in craftsmanship, and thrives in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture and assemble composite components and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.
- Follow established work instructions, technical documentation, and manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality.
- Prepare, handle, and apply materials used throughout the manufacturing process.
- Assist with the development, maintenance, and operation of production tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
- Inspect components and assemblies, identifying defects and carrying out corrective actions where required.
- Perform repairs, rework, and finishing activities to ensure products meet all quality and performance specifications.
- Safely move, handle, and store materials, equipment, and assemblies throughout the production cycle.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in line with company standards.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, assembly, composites, or technical workshop environment.
- Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and standard workshop equipment.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
