An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven and strategically minded Commercial Director to join a high-growth international business.

Reporting directly to the UK CEO this role will be responsible for developing and executing the company's commercial strategy to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and market share across the UK market.

Managing a team of 7 direct reports across Marketing, Sales, Ecommerce and Operations.

The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in accelerating business growth through ownership of sales, marketing, commercial partnerships, and business development initiatives, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and implement the commercial strategy in line with company objectives
  • Collaborate closely with international and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across channels and markets
  • Identify new market opportunities, revenue streams, and strategic partnerships
  • Lead market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and commercial risk assessment
  • Contribute to broader business strategy as part of the senior leadership team
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales and business development strategies
  • Establish pricing models and commercial terms to maximise profitability
  • Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and revenue performance analysis
  • Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions where required
  • Lead, mentor, and develop sales and marketing teams
  • Set performance targets and ensure delivery against objectives
  • Negotiate high-value contracts and manage key customer relationships
  • Strengthen customer retention and long-term account growth strategies

Candidate Profile

We are seeking an experienced commercial leader with:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in senior sales, marketing, or business development leadership roles
  • A proven track record of delivering growth and scaling businesses within the UK market
  • Strong strategic and commercial acumen
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing key commercial partnerships and customer relationships
  • Strong understanding of retail and/or multi-channel distribution environments
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for growth and innovation
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
