A high performing equipment dealership in the Northeast US are looking to recruit a CFO. The business has experienced strong growth in recent years, and is now adding this key position to lead its finance & accounting function through the next phase of growth.

The individual will report directly to ownership and play a hands-on role in improving financial systems, strengthening controls & supporting day-to-day decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the overall finance function, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management

• Partner closely with operations and ownership to improve financial visibility across equipment sales, parts, service, and inventory

• Oversee multi-location financial reporting and consolidation

• Strengthen internal controls, processes, and financial discipline

Requirements

• Senior finance leadership experience in a dealership business (CFO, VP Finance, Director of Finance or Senior Controller)
• Experience in heavy equipment or adjacent industries (agricultural equipment, construction equipment, material handling, heavy trucking or related)
• Demonstrated experience leading or supporting ERP system transitions in a growing business
• Practical, commercially minded approach to finance leadership; ability to be hands-on when required
