Business Development Manager - South Africa

Our client is a fast-growing SaaS business transforming operational performance across the mining and industrial sectors through an innovative cloud-based platform. As they continue to expand across EMEA, they are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business growth and help scale a high-performing commercial function.

This is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing technology company at an exciting stage of its journey. You'll take ownership of the full sales cycle, working with mining and industrial customers to understand operational challenges, demonstrate business value, and deliver impactful technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to close.
  • Generate and qualify new business opportunities across the EMEA region.
  • Conduct consultative discovery conversations with operational, technical, and executive stakeholders.
  • Deliver compelling software demonstrations and business cases.
  • Build and manage relationships across complex, multi-stakeholder organisations.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM reporting.
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Represent the business at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events.

About You

  • 5+ years of B2B sales experience within SaaS, mining technology, industrial technology, or related sectors.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience managing mid-market or enterprise sales cycles.
  • Exposure to mining, drilling, field services, or operational technology environments is highly desirable.
