An established global OEM serving the mining industry is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth across North America.
This is a true hunter role, focused on identifying new opportunities, developing untapped markets, and building long-term relationships with mining customers. Unlike a traditional account management position, the emphasis is on creating new business opportunities, expanding market presence, and developing strategic customer partnerships.

Drive business development activities across a specialist portfolio of mining equipment and technical solutions.
Identify, qualify and secure new mining customers and strategic projects across North America.
Develop and execute territory and market development plans to increase market penetration.
Build relationships with mine operators, engineering teams, maintenance managers, procurement professionals, and executive stakeholders.
Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer trends, and competitive activity.
Generate new business through prospecting, networking, industry events, referrals, and direct customer engagement.
Collaborate with distributors and channel partners to expand regional coverage where appropriate.
Deliver consultative, solution-based sales presentations focused on improving customer productivity, safety, and operational performance.
Work closely with engineering, product management, and aftermarket teams to develop customer-focused solutions.
Maintain an active pipeline, sales forecasts, and CRM activity to support business planning.
Represent the business at trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
Travel extensively throughout North America to develop new customer relationships and support business growth.
Proven success in business development or technical sales within the mining industry.
Experience selling capital equipment, engineered solutions, technical products, or aftermarket services into mining operations.
Strong hunter mentality with a proven ability to generate new business and develop strategic customer relationships.
Excellent commercial acumen with experience identifying market opportunities and converting them into long-term partnerships.
Ability to communicate technical solutions clearly to operational and executive stakeholders.
Self-motivated, highly organised, and comfortable working independently across a large geographic territory.
Willingness to travel approximately 50-60% across North America.
