Business Development Director - Cryogenic Pumps
A global manufacturer of engineered pump systems, flow control technologies, and fluid handling solutions is seeking a Business Development Director to drive strategic growth across North America.
The company designs and manufactures high-performance equipment used in demanding industrial environments, supporting applications where safety, reliability, and efficiency in fluid transfer are critical. Their technologies serve industries such as industrial gases, LNG, process industries, energy, and specialized manufacturing.
This role will play a key part in expanding the company's presence within the cryogenic and industrial gas markets, helping to shape regional strategy and accelerate market penetration.
Reporting to senior commercial leadership, you will lead regional growth initiatives by working closely with sales managers, channel partners, and internal engineering teams to identify and capture new market opportunities.
You will be responsible for developing strategic plans that expand revenue, strengthen customer partnerships, and increase market share within key industrial segments.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading regional business development strategy for industrial pump and fluid handling solutions
Supporting and guiding regional sales managers and channel partners
Developing go-to-market strategies for new opportunities and emerging markets
Identifying target accounts and growth opportunities across North America
Working closely with product management, engineering, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions
Driving market penetration initiatives and supporting new product introductions
Leveraging market intelligence and customer insights to shape growth strategies
Supporting the sales organization in closing complex opportunities and securing new orders
10+ years of experience in industrial equipment sales, business development, or commercial leadership
Strong background in industrial pumps, flow control equipment, or related process technologies
Proven experience developing channel-to-market strategies and regional growth plans
Ability to identify market opportunities and translate them into actionable sales strategies
Strong collaboration skills with engineering, product management, and operations teams
Experience managing complex sales cycles within industrial markets
Willingness to travel extensively across North America (75%)
