Business Analyst/QA Engineer

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong automated testing experience to join our growing team. In this role, you will bridge business needs with technical execution by identifying automation opportunities, defining testable requirements in the form of user stories with acceptance criteria, and developing automated test scripts.

You will play a key role in requirements gathering, test case creation, requirements-to-testing mapping, and executing tests to ensure solutions align with business needs and strategic objectives. This position offers the opportunity to work on meaningful federal initiatives within a collaborative, Agile-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Document requirements as user stories with acceptance criteria.

• Create detailed test cases and maintain a requirements traceability matrix.

• Design, develop, and execute automated scripts to validate software functionality, efficiency, and performance.

• Provide backup support for operations and the help desk during absences or surge periods.

• Support Section 508 compliance considerations during requirements definition and validate accessibility during testing.

• Contribute to program deliverables, including weekly status reports, monthly progress reports, and stakeholder briefings.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen; Active DHS clearance or Top Secret Clearance.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.

• Minimum of three years of relevant specialized experience.

• Experience working with stakeholders, business users, and technical SMEs to gather and refine requirements.

• Experience documenting requirements in user story format.

• Experience creating requirements traceability matrices.

• Skilled in writing test cases based on user stories.

• Skilled in executing test cases and documenting results.

• Experience developing and executing automated test scripts using automation frameworks or tools (Selenium, JMeter, TestRigor, or similar).

• Experience working within Agile methodologies.

• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with ServiceNow.

• Background in emerging technologies such as AI, automation, or cloud services.

• Experience with manual Section 508 testing and accessibility tools (e.g., JAWS).
