An international battery recycling and circular materials business is looking to appoint a Sourcing Manager to lead feedstock sourcing activities across North America. This is a high-impact commercial role focused on securing li-ion battery scrap, e-waste, and black mass supply into a scaling recycling operation.

This opportunity would suit someone with strong relationships across the battery recycling, e-waste, scrap metals, or lithium-ion supply chain ecosystem who enjoys building commercial partnerships and negotiating strategic supply agreements.

The Opportunity

You will take ownership of sourcing activities across the US and Canada, helping secure critical feedstock materials for downstream recycling operations. The role combines supplier development, commercial negotiations, market intelligence, and cross-functional coordination with operations and finance teams.

This is a remote position based in the US with regular travel across the US and Canada.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage sourcing strategies for:
    • Lithium-ion battery scrap
    • E-waste streams
    • Black mass and intermediate recycling materials
  • Build long-term partnerships with:
    • OEMs
    • Battery recyclers
    • Aggregators
    • Dismantlers
    • Waste management businesses
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and secure competitive pricing structures
  • Drive monthly and quarterly feedstock volume targets
  • Ensure continuity of supply for recycling operations
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
  • Work closely with operations, finance, and commercial teams to align sourcing activity with production and market demand
  • Stay informed on market dynamics, pricing trends, and regulatory developments across North America

What We're Looking For

  • 6-12+ years of experience within:
    • Battery recycling
    • E-waste management
    • Metal or scrap trading
    • Lithium-ion battery supply chains
  • Strong commercial network across North America
  • Experience sourcing from US-based suppliers is essential
  • Ability to operate independently in a remote commercial role
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Comfortable with regular travel across the US and Canada
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Environmental Science, or related field
  • MBA is advantageous
