Bakery Manager - Plant Operations

You will step into a Bakery Manager role leading a 40-person facility, taking full responsibility for day-to-day operations in a fast-paced production environment. You will drive performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, while building a strong, hands-on culture on the floor.

What You Will Do
You will lead all bakery operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and warehouse activities.

You will oversee daily production across mixing, baking, and packaging, ensuring schedules are met and customer demand is delivered on time.

You will manage a team of around 40 employees, driving engagement, accountability, and performance across all shifts.

You will ensure compliance with all food safety and quality standards, including HACCP, GMP, and any relevant audit requirements.

You will drive improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, yield, and labor productivity across the site.

You will partner with maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimise downtime across ovens, mixers, and packaging lines.

You will monitor and control site costs, supporting budget adherence and identifying opportunities for savings.

You will maintain a strong presence on the floor, leading by example and reinforcing a culture of safety and quality.

You will be comfortable managing a smaller facility with full operational responsibility.

You will have strong knowledge of baking processes, production flow, and quality standards.
