Overview
This role sits within a specialist project management consultancy delivering complex property and infrastructure projects. As a senior leader, you will take responsibility for directing project teams, managing client engagements and ensuring projects are delivered to agreed scope, budget and program.
You will act as the primary point of accountability across your projects, providing day-to-day leadership while balancing commercial, technical and risk considerations. The position also contributes to broader business growth through mentoring, best-practice development and selected business development activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and direct all aspects of assigned projects from early planning through to completion and handover.
- Manage client relationships and act as a trusted senior advisor throughout the engagement.
- Plan, schedule and coordinate scope, budget, resourcing, program and quality requirements.
- Identify, manage and mitigate project, commercial and engagement risks.
- Review design, documentation and contract information to ensure alignment with project objectives.
- Monitor and control project fees, commitments, expenditure and payments.
- Ensure quality, safety and compliance standards are consistently met across all projects.
- Manage consultant and contractor engagements, acting as the client's representative where required.
- Lead and support project teams to ensure strong performance through delivery and into operation.
In addition you will:
- Mentor and develop project managers and consultants.
- Share best-practice tools, systems and lessons learned across the business.
- Contribute to training initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
- Support selected business development activities, including opportunity identification and proposal input.
