Assistant Plant Manager - Poultry Processing

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Assistant Plant Manager to support the Plant Manager in leading day-to-day operations. You'll help drive production, improve performance, develop the team, and make sure the plant operates safely while meeting quality and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Support the daily running of the plant.
• Lead and develop Production Supervisors and production teams.
• Deliver production, quality and safety targets.
• Improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Monitor KPIs and solve operational issues.
• Manage staffing and production schedules.
• Work closely with Maintenance, Quality and Warehouse teams.
• Promote a positive culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of leadership experience in food manufacturing.
• Poultry or protein processing experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree is a plus but not essential.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
• Experience improving plant performance and developing teams.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
