The Opportunity
A leading national manufacturer within the building materials sector is looking to hire an Area Sales Manager to support growth across NSW, VIC, & TAS.
The role focuses on developing relationships with contractors, builders and refrigeration specialists involved in temperature controlled construction projects including cold storage and processing facilities. This position combines relationship management with a strong business development focus, identifying new opportunities and expanding market presence across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and maintain relationships with contractors, refrigeration companies and builders across the territory
* Identify and pursue new business development opportunities across NSW, VIC and TAS
* Promote specialised panel systems used in temperature controlled construction projects
* Manage and progress a pipeline of projects and opportunities through the sales cycle
* Deliver product presentations and support technical discussions with key project stakeholders
* Maintain accurate sales activity and project tracking through CRM systems
* Work closely with internal commercial, specification and technical teams to support project outcomes
* Monitor market activity and identify opportunities to grow market share and increase product adoption
Candidate Background
* Proven sales track record, ideally within manufacturing, building materials or construction products
* Experience working with temperature controlled environments, cold storage construction or insulated panel systems
* Understanding of construction concepts and building systems used in project environments
* Experience with business development, lead generation and developing client relationships
* Strong relationship building skills with contractors, refrigeration companies and builders
* Comfortable managing a regional territory and progressing opportunities through the sales cycle
* Experience using CRM systems to manage sales activity and project pipelines
* Highly motivated with the ability to perform in a fast paced commercial environment
* Professional, organised and confident when engaging with customers and industry stakeholders
