This is a senior Owner-side leadership role within a high-profile mining development. It offers the opportunity to play a key part in delivering a world-class processing facility in a structured, international project environment.
We are seeking an experienced Area Construction Manager - Process Plant to provide Owner's site leadership for the safe, efficient and disciplined execution of construction activities within a large-scale mineral processing facility.
This role sits within a major international mining development and is responsible for ensuring EPCM and contractor performance aligns with project governance, safety, quality, schedule, cost and operational readiness objectives.
Champion a Zero Harm culture across all Process Plant construction activities
Provide field leadership across civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation scopes
Oversee installation of major equipment including crushing systems, HPGRs, ball mills, flotation circuits, thickeners, filtration systems and utilities
Drive adherence to the integrated construction schedule and area lookahead plans
Identify and mitigate risks to critical path milestones
Ensure construction aligns with IFC drawings, vendor data and quality standards
Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement and Commissioning teams
Validate contractor progress, review variations and support change management processes
Lead mechanical completion, punch close-out and system handover
Support operational readiness and asset data capture requirements
Maintain full alignment with HSE, environmental and regulatory standards
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
Minimum 15 years' experience in construction of large-scale mineral processing facilities
Experience within EPCM delivery models
Demonstrated ability managing multiple contractors in remote environments
Experience delivering >5 Mtpa concentrator or heavy industrial processing facilities preferred
Strong commissioning and system handover exposure
Strong field-based leadership presence
Deep understanding of heavy mechanical installations and sequencing
Schedule-driven with strong risk identification and mitigation capability
Excellent contractor performance management skills
Effective cross-functional communicator
High resilience in remote, high-pressure environments
Decisive problem solver with strong governance discipline
