CSG Talent is partnered with a confidential federal technology consultancy supporting mission-critical programs across U.S. government agencies. Our client is expanding a high-performing engineering team and is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled automation solutions within enterprise IT platforms.
This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, integrating AI/ML capabilities into real-world systems, and working in secure, regulated environments where technology has a direct operational impact.
As an AI Solutions Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent automation solutions that enhance enterprise workflows, with a strong focus on ServiceNow ITSM integrations and cloud-native platforms. You will work closely with product owners, platform teams, and stakeholders in an Agile delivery model to translate business and mission needs into scalable technical solutions.
This is a hybrid role based in the Washington, D.C. area and requires an active DHS clearance.
Design and develop AI-driven automation workflows integrated with ServiceNow ITSM processes
Build and integrate generative AI solutions using modern AI APIs and frameworks
Deploy and operate AI/ML models in secure, production cloud environments
Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems via APIs and webhooks
Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand workflows and data flows
Ensure solutions meet security, data privacy, and compliance requirements
Implement human-in-the-loop review where appropriate
Maintain documentation to support system stability, scalability, and reproducibility
Follow clean coding standards, DevOps best practices, and responsible AI principles
Contribute within an Agile, sprint-based delivery environment
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (U.S.-accredited)
3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML or intelligent automation
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model deployment, and lifecycle management
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Go
Experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations
Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, particularly ITSM-related workflows
Experience integrating third-party tools and APIs into production systems
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Analytical, structured approach to problem-solving
U.S. Citizen
Active DHS clearance
