CSG Talent is partnered with a confidential federal technology consultancy supporting mission-critical programs across U.S. government agencies. Our client is expanding a high-performing engineering team and is seeking an AI Automation Engineer to design and deliver AI-enabled automation solutions within enterprise IT platforms.

This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys hands-on development, integrating AI/ML capabilities into real-world systems, and working in secure, regulated environments where technology has a direct operational impact.

The Role

As an AI Solutions Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy intelligent automation solutions that enhance enterprise workflows, with a strong focus on ServiceNow ITSM integrations and cloud-native platforms. You will work closely with product owners, platform teams, and stakeholders in an Agile delivery model to translate business and mission needs into scalable technical solutions.

This is a hybrid role based in the Washington, D.C. area and requires an active DHS clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop AI-driven automation workflows integrated with ServiceNow ITSM processes

  • Build and integrate generative AI solutions using modern AI APIs and frameworks

  • Deploy and operate AI/ML models in secure, production cloud environments

  • Integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise systems via APIs and webhooks

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand workflows and data flows

  • Ensure solutions meet security, data privacy, and compliance requirements

  • Implement human-in-the-loop review where appropriate

  • Maintain documentation to support system stability, scalability, and reproducibility

  • Follow clean coding standards, DevOps best practices, and responsible AI principles

  • Contribute within an Agile, sprint-based delivery environment

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (U.S.-accredited)

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML or intelligent automation

  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, model deployment, and lifecycle management

  • Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, Java, C#, Go

  • Experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs and system integrations

  • Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as ServiceNow, particularly ITSM-related workflows

  • Experience integrating third-party tools and APIs into production systems

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly

  • Analytical, structured approach to problem-solving
