Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Operations & Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of importing goods into the UK, while managing client accounts and financial processes. This role combines operational coordination, logistics oversight, and accounting responsibilities to ensure smooth delivery of goods and excellent service to UK-based clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Logistics Management

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end import process of goods into the UK

  • Work closely with the customs broker to ensure smooth customs clearance

  • Oversee and review all import and customs documentation for accuracy and compliance

  • Organise and coordinate deliveries to UK clients, ensuring timely and efficient service

Client & Contract Management

  • Take full responsibility for servicing existing UK clients

  • Manage the transition and administration of all UPG contracts reassigned internally

  • Act as the main point of contact for operational matters related to UK customers

Accounting & Financial Administration

  • Issue sales invoices to UK clients accurately and in a timely manner

  • Monitor and verify incoming payments, ensuring proof of payment is received and recorded

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, including tracking revenue and transactions

  • Support basic financial reporting and reconciliation processes

Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure all import, financial, and client documentation is properly maintained and compliant with UK regulations

  • Collaborate with external partners (e.g., customs broker) to stay up to date with regulatory requirements

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management (preferably import/export)

  • Strong understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping principles

  • Experience working with customs processes and documentation is highly desirable

  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with external partners and clients

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in international trade or import/export operations

  • Familiarity with UK customs regulations and procedures

  • Experience managing client accounts in a B2B environment
