Founded in 1856, Burberry Group plc. is a British luxury fashion house with a huge international presence. Burberry has a global reputation for its striking design, and sells products ranging from trench coats and fragrances, to sunglasses and cosmetics.

After passing on an excellent senior candidate to Burberry’s General Manager, CSG Talent were put in touch with the company’s HR department. Despite Burberry's initial reluctance to use an external hiring agency due to tight deadlines, they recognised the need to try a different approach to find the high quality of candidates they needed, quickly and efficiently with the support of a talent acquisition partner.

The Requirement

With little success recruiting internally from their Hong Kong office, Burberry presented CSG Talent with a listed role to fill as soon as possible. As a major global retail company, Burberry had a high standard to uphold, and with a limited talent pool in this location, and a very specific candidate brief, this role was proving a very difficult hire for them internally.
