DPI UAV Systems engaged CSG Talent at a key moment in the company’s growth as they looked to expand their workforce with the goal of supporting their future mobility initiatives. They needed to rapidly onboard four Senior Technicians (Electrical and Mechanical) and one Procurement Specialist, roles which require differing skillsets and abilities.

Understanding that pace and flexibility were critical, CSG Talent recognised that contracting was the ideal talent solution for DPI, and proposed a six-month contracting model tailored to their requirements. This approach balanced reducing the risks of hiring and the ability to begin the project immediately while still having the option to convert contractors to permanent roles if they perform well and are a strong cultural fit. This has future-proofed DPI’s talent strategy by allowing for adaptability based on evolving project demands and shifting business priorities.
Throughout the search, CSG emphasised precision in candidate screening and maintained consistent communication with Barry, whose responsiveness helped keep the process efficient and aligned. Across the five roles, the team sent 28 carefully screened CVs, scheduled 15 interviews, and managed the process throughout to avoid last‑minute drop‑outs and maintain pace.
This included identifying two senior technicians who had successfully collaborated on previous projects, which ensured strong team cohesion from day one. This level of expertise and attention to detail meant DPI could move quickly without sacrificing on quality.
Within weeks, DPI welcomed five senior contractors whose skills, attitudes, and values aligned perfectly with the company culture. This quick turnaround enabled DPI to accelerate project timelines and focus internal resources on core initiatives rather than recruitment processes.
