Job Description: Technical Sales Support Specialist

Summary

The Technical Sales Support Specialist plays a key role in executing product strategies to drive sales growth and profitability. This position works closely with Account Managers and Product Specialists to develop customized solutions for customers, build strong relationships, and achieve regional sales objectives.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implement product strategies to support sales growth and regional profitability.
  • Provide technical support and product insights to existing and prospective customers.
  • Develop and present tailored value solutions, including value propositions and winning strategies for sales opportunities.
  • Promote innovative product designs and solutions to customers and internal teams.
  • Assist the sales team in identifying new potential customers and opportunities.
  • Build and maintain positive customer relationships to drive repeat business and generate leads.
  • Meet or exceed regional sales targets.
  • Analyze competitors and advise on pricing strategies and market positioning.
  • Perform product inspections and prepare detailed reports and analyses.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and product specifications.
  • Provide expertise in product installation and support.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years of experience in mineral processing equipment or related industries.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is an advantage.
  • Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with SAP software is preferred.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
  • Strong customer relationship management and understanding of market requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; SAP knowledge is an asset.
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of delivering presentations effectively.
