Our Client is a leading beverages manufacturer and has just opened a brand new facilty.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Supply Chain Manager to join the team and be responsible for developing and maintaining all aspectis of planning and implement their S&OP process
You will understand capacities and constraints from key suppliers, including own manufacturing plants, ingredient/material suppliers; and will also be responsible for working with deployment and distribution functions to maintain appropriate levels of finished goods inventory across to delivery network.
Purpose of the Role
- Accountable for ensuring end-to-end operations are successfully planned and executed to meet all customer expectations including:
- Inventory strategy optimized across the supply chain network to ensure supply and minimize costs
- Supplier production
- Production Planning, and Inventory levels,
- Coordinated communications strategy across the supply chain network
- Ensuring quality and timeliness of inputs, outputs, and deliverables to meet customer expectations
- Identify potential constraints and/or exposure and create recommended contingency plans to mitigate or minimize risks
- Accountable for developing/achieving Supply Chain Adherence plan among Supply Network
- Ensure operational excellence with thought leadership, creative problem solving and proactive focus on continuous improvement
- Developing Supply Chain Strategies for Active Ingredients, Production Plan, Package Plan to balance Customer Service and cost
- Leading Supply Chain Planning Discussion through integrated Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE) - Short Term Planning (0-3 months)
- Preparing/Providing inputs and recommendations for Complex Supply Chain Capacity Planning, which is part of IBP/S&OP monthly process
- Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with customers, internal cross-functional teams, offshore teams, and external partners
- Responsible for setting and managing expectations with internal and external customers; able to successfully navigate high-pressure internal customer interaction
- Manage capacity planning information resulting from the new or updated demand plan, review material availability and any lead time issues, manage inventory, financial issues arising from production, and other opportunities related to new product introductions and product obsolescence
- Review and consider MCPs (Manufacturing Capacity Plans) - rates, planned downtime, shifts, etc to consolidate an integrated production plan by SKU by product segment volume/period, including all changes and/or updates coming from PMR (Portfolio Management Review) and DMR (Demand Management Review
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience in forecasting, buying or planning experience preferably in a consumer goods industry
- Demonstrated experience in managing, developing and coaching direct reports
- Experience with supply chain planning and forecasting systems, ERP systems, and data management tools
- MRP Experience
- Experience in integrating Demand and Supply Planning with sales, marketing, production/engineering, and business support functions
- Experience conducting S&OP meetings, and responsible for critical processes within monthly cycle.
- Hands-on with key Inventory Reporting metrics such as, Forecast Accuracy, Forecast Bias, Fill Rate, Weeks of Supply, etc.
