The Business

CSG Talent is working with a civil consultancy in Brisbane with a national presence. They are currently looking for a senior civil designer to join the business in the new CBD location. They have offices across most states in Australia, meaning you could work from different locations, especially if relocation were ever of interest. They boast a strong reputation in the market and are very successful in working on sizeable green and brownfield developments. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior designer who might be looking to move into an associate level role in the near future.

The Role

As the senior civil designer, you will report to the engineering manager and work alongside him to produce designs in 12D for projects across QLD and across Australia.

Civil Designer Duties

• Utilize your expertise in 12D software to create detailed civil engineering designs, encompassing road networks, drainage systems, and land development projects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, architects, and urban planners to develop innovative and integrated design solutions.
• Engage with clients, government agencies, and construction teams to understand project requirements and translate them into practical and cost-effective designs.
• Conduct thorough analysis and calculations to ensure the accuracy and compliance of designs with relevant standards and regulations.
• Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.

Civil Designer Qualifications & Experience

• A minimum 6 years civil design experience in Australia.
• Comprehensive user of 12D Software for modelling.
• Experience with road design, stormwater drainage design, and sewer network design.
• Worked with or an understanding of local government.
