Senior Android Framework/ AOSP Developer
Android Framework, AOSP (android open source projects), BSP, Kernels, Device Drivers
Lund, Sweden (Onsite)
50,000 - 60,000 SEK / month

I'm working with a global tech consultancy, working on multiple projects, in multiple industries. No day is the same, and new development is the norm.

They are now looking to add an Android Development (focused on framework and AOSP) Engineer to the team to be key in developing, designing and testing systems.

What will you be doing:

In this role you will be deep diving developing systems, working within Android Framework and working on Android open-source projects.

You'll wear many hats, from analysing and designing features to writing code, integrating different parts, and making sure everything runs smoothly through unit testing and debugging.

But that's not all:

Collaboration is key here. You'll work alongside other developers in a team, interface directly with customers to understand their needs, and even collaborate with specialists in hardware, audio, and optics to bring your ideas to life.

To stay ahead of the game, you'll also be constantly learning about new product areas, ensuring your solutions are the perfect fit.

Key Requirements:

  • Expert in Android full-stack AOSP (Android Open-Source Project) development
  • Hands-on experience working with Android system-level development, including custom ROMs, kernels, and device drivers.
  • Proven track record with Java and/or Kotlin for Android development, and proficiency in native Android SDKs and NDKs
  • In-depth expertise in Android framework development and modification, with extensive knowledge of Android internals

Nice to haves:

  • Strong understanding of Android hardware architecture, including interfacing with hardware components and debugging hardware-related issues
  • Demonstrated experience with performance optimization, power management, and memory management in the Android system.
  • Familiarity with Android security concepts and secure coding practices
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior Android engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, and familiarity with code review and collaboration tools
  • In-depth experience with Agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban

If this sounds like something you're interested in learning more about, please apply.
