As part of its continued growth strategy across Australia and New Zealand, the company is seeking an experienced mining professional to lead key customer relationships, drive commercial growth, and support a high-performing regional sales team.
This is a strategic, customer-facing leadership role responsible for managing major mining accounts across Australia's East Coast and New Zealand while supporting a small team of Account Managers.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening relationships with Tier 1 mining companies, identifying new business opportunities, and working closely with technical teams to deliver value-added solutions that improve customer performance.
The role combines key account management, business development, market intelligence, and team leadership within one of the mining industry's most respected global organisations.
Drive revenue growth across Australia and New Zealand through strategic account management and business development initiatives.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities, diversification strategies, and strategic partnerships.
Develop and execute territory growth plans focused on long-term customer value.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer developments to provide actionable market intelligence.
Manage relationships with major mining companies
Build strong relationships with mine-site stakeholders, metallurgists, procurement teams, technical specialists, consultants, and operational leaders.
Lead contract negotiations and support commercial agreements across the region.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and long-term account retention.
Lead and support a small team of Account Managers across the East Coast region.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and commercial guidance throughout the sales process.
Foster a collaborative and customer-focused team culture.
Work closely with regional leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives.
Partner closely with technical specialists and global support teams to deliver value-added technical solutions.
Support customers through technical evaluations, optimisation projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as the key interface between customers, technical teams, manufacturing operations, and regional leadership.
Minimum 5 years of experience within the mining industry.
Experience in mineral processing, metallurgy, technical sales, account management, or business development.
Demonstrated ability to manage senior customer relationships within mining operations.
Previous leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous.
Strong commercial acumen and business development capability.
Excellent English communication skills.
Willingness to travel regularly throughout Australia and New Zealand (approximately 50%).
Ability to relocate to Brisbane, Australia (visa sponsorship available where required).
