Our client is a leading manufacturer of vacuum pumps, compressors, and blowers for use in industries such as semiconductor manufacturing, food processing, metallurgy, biomedical, and material handling.

They have an immediate direct-hire opportunity open for a Regional Sales Manager for Oregon! This will be a remote work position, with residency within this region required. This position is up to 75% travel with a vast majority being day trips within the sales region.

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the management of all sales activities within their assigned geographical territory. This position is responsible for developing and delivering annual sales growth of products and services in compliance with the strategic plan, as outlined by the US Sales Director.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage an assigned sales territory to maintain existing business levels, develop new business for products and service(s), and provide for annual sales growth of products and services.
  • Responsible for developing, managing, and training of the sales channels.
  • Provide for annual sales growth of products and services.
  • Work with all internal departments in support of sales opportunities
  • Develop long-term relationships with end users and OEM accounts, both individual and in support of the sales channels
  • Maintain account profiles for specified Top Tier accounts.
  • Maintain an electronic customer database.
  • Develop a yearly target account list for the assigned sales territory.
  • Maintain company records and files.
  • Maintain, in good working order and physical condition, a company vehicle and other company equipment.
  • Utilize expense accounts with prudent judgment.
  • A majority of the Regional Sales Manager's time is dedicated to planning, preparing, and conducting face-to-face customer visits.

Required Experience

  • 3+ years of sales experience: Required
  • Vacuum or rotating industrial equipment experience: Preferred
  • Education: bachelor's degree Required
    • Preferred Field of Study: Engineering or Business
  • Computer skills: Intermediate knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office software

  • A high degree of professional business acumen and negotiation skills
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Outstanding salesmanship, interpersonal skills, and time management
  • Must be customer-oriented and display good decision-making ability.
  • Self-driven, organized, and dependable

Job Requirements

  • Ability and willingness to pass a 10-panel drug screen and 7-year criminal history check.
    • Most felonies are a disqualifier, misdemeanors are considered on a case-by-case basis.
  • Must be willing and able to utilize all required PPE, as needed.
  • Must maintain a current valid driver's license throughout employment.

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 10lbs
  • Occasional reaching above the shoulder, and lifting/carrying/pushing pulling up to 25lbs
  • All applicants must be able to hear and see audible and visual alarms and must be able to wear all required PPE, such as safety shoes, electrical hazards, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
