Our client is an innovative mining technology company with groundbreaking technologies, focussed on hyperspectral imaging and data analytics. They have recently taken their product to commercialisation, thus are seeking a Regional Sales Director to develop a sales strategy for cutting-edge innovations.

Having recently taken their product to commercialisation, our client is seeking a Regional Sales Director to develop a sales strategy for cutting-edge innovations, with a focus on the North American mining market. The company are headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, so this would be a desirable location, however they can be flexible across eastern Canada.

As they are in an early stage of their growth and are bringing a new technology to the mining industry, the candidate will have to develop a strong understanding of the technology and be comfortable to advocate and educate customers to achieve selling non-traditional, innovative products.

In this Regional Sales Director position, you will also be responsible for:

  • Developing and increasing sales in North America on the identified target accounts list
  • Organising solution demonstrations with new customers
  • Interacting with customers to understand opportunities and share with the team
  • Suggesting and leading marketing content creation to increase visibility
  • Periodic reporting of the key metrics related to sales
  • Attending tradeshows & on-site client meetings to increase sales

Essentials

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in selling technology products or services to the mining industry.
  • Strong network of key decision makers in the mining industry
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing process and cycle
  • A background in mining engineering or similar would be beneficial
  • Fluent in English & French beneficial
