Plant Manager - Powders/Whey

As Plant Manager, you will take full ownership of our powders and whey protein manufacturing facility, ensuring smooth operations, high-quality production, and continuous improvement. You will be responsible for leading a high-performing team, optimizing processes, and driving efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Leadership: Oversee end-to-end production of powders and whey protein, ensuring output meets quality, cost, and efficiency targets.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a strong production team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Drive efficiency through lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and automation initiatives.
• Quality & Compliance: Ensure all products meet strict regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards, including HACCP and GMP guidelines.
• Safety & Environmental Standards: Maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Supply Chain Coordination: Work closely with procurement, logistics, and warehouse teams to optimize raw material use and inventory control.
• Budget & Cost Control: Manage plant budgets, monitor KPIs, and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising quality.
• Project Management: Lead capital investment and expansion projects to enhance capacity and innovation.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in plant management or senior operations leadership, ideally within food, dairy, or nutritional powders.
• Strong understanding of whey protein processing, spray drying, blending, and packaging.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop teams.
• Experience managing compliance within food safety and quality assurance frameworks.
• Financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving cost efficiencies.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
