You will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all equipment, with a focus on product quality, employee safety, and food safety standards, while also meeting or exceeding regulatory requirements.
Your areas of responsibility include:
- Overseeing production lines
- Managing prep areas
- Handling dry and finish goods storage
- Monitoring chillers
- Maintaining kitchen ventilation
- Ensuring the functionality of fire and safety systems
- Taking care of buildings and grounds
- Managing CIP (Clean in Place) processes
- Handling bulk chemicals
Here are some additional duties you'll be performing:
- Supporting the adherence to the production schedule developed by the Master Scheduler, which involves optimizing customer service and production efficiency by maintaining equipment and minimizing downtime.
- Operating equipment safely, strictly following OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines.
- Completing scheduled Preventative Maintenance Tasks.
- Keeping meticulous equipment records and conducting regular inspections.
- Troubleshooting and addressing malfunctions in equipment.
- Keeping areas like the Maintenance Shop, Electrical Room, Parts Room, and Production Floor clean and organized in relation to maintenance.
- Maintaining a neat and orderly personal appearance.
- Installing new equipment and relocating existing equipment as needed.
- Planning your work meticulously by organizing the job site, specifying OEM parts, communicating plans to affected personnel, and staging the necessary tools.
- Facilitating effective communication between the maintenance and operations teams, ensuring the operations team is well-informed about maintenance-related issues affecting production.
- Ensuring that Employee Job Safety Accountabilities are met and promptly reporting compliance issues to the appropriate individuals.
- Collaborating with QA (Quality Assurance), Safety, and others as necessary to execute action plans related to health and safety compliance.
- Assisting in completing A3 investigations.
- Conducting lubrication rounds in accordance with OEM guidelines.
- Carrying out any other maintenance tasks assigned to you.
Required Qualifications, Education, and Skills:
- You must have the ability to obtain Full-face respirator certification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), and Control Systems is necessary.
- You should be capable of reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical plans.
- The ability to obtain forklift, scissor lift, and boom lift certification is required.
- Ideally, you should have at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, with a preference for food manufacturing experience. Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
