CSG Talent are looking for General Manager with construction materials experience to manage multiple sites in Central Pennsylvania.
The General Manager will lead safety, operations, and sales for the region and will implement the company's strategic plan to drive growth in revenue, profitability, personnel, and operational footprint. They will manage operations, ensuring safe, efficient, high-quality production, and resource optimization. This is a developmental role, requiring candidates to enhance their management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the strategic plan to promote safety, revenue growth, profitability, and organizational expansion.
- Oversee operations to ensure efficient production, quality control, service excellence, and resource management.
- Develop and implement strategies to generate revenue and support business growth.
- Identify acquisition and merger opportunities, managing both internal and external resources to expand the organization's footprint.
- Improve and enforce operational policies, procedures, and standards.
- Analyze financial reports and operational data, adjusting objectives and strategies as needed.
- Evaluate and coach management staff to ensure policy compliance and leadership development.
- Mentor new management employees to build future leaders.
- Represent the company at legislative sessions, committee meetings, and formal events.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, permits, and company guidelines.
Required Qualifications and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
- 10-15 years of experience in the construction sector
- Minimum 5 years of responsibility for P&L management
- Deep understanding of the Aggregates, Ready Mix, and Asphalt industries, including knowledge of customers, competitors, products, and production processes
- Experience in both manufacturing and commercial sectors
- Proven leadership abilities
- Strong skills in project management
- Solid understanding of financial principles
- Familiarity with digital transformation and sustainability initiatives in the construction materials field
- Proven success in areas like safety and health, employee growth, change management, and team leadership
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
