Financial Controller

We are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a food manufacturer, importer & distributor of speciality food & beverage products.

My client has been serving the U.S. and Canadian markets for 40 + years. Proudly owning household brands, synonymous with premium quality and authenticity, offering an enticing array of canned goods, ready meal delicacies, ethnic spices, superior jams and honey, exquisite oils and vinegar, healthy organic juices, and exclusive product lines.We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to help play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the company financial operations, as well as ensuring the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the organization's financial transactions, reporting & analysis.


Requirements;

• Month end close & reporting
• Revenue Reporting; managing monthly revenue accrual, recognition & reconciliation processes.
• Prepare and distribute revenue & margin reports
• Coordination between all major stakeholders to ensure proper accounting & reporting of financial data
• Balance sheet analysis
• Forecasting & budgeting
• Cash flow forecasting
• Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate revenue, cost forecasts & budgets
  
  
  
  
  Qualifications:
  
  Excellent communication, leadership, and emotional intelligence (EQ) skills.
• Proactive, self-starter, and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Financial system & process implementation and improvement experience.
• Experience with integration in a multiple entity environment.
• Strong technical accounting, analytical, management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SAP, QuickBooks and Smartsheet.
• 5+ years of experience managing a finance team and full cycle accounting process.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and independently, adapting well to change with a progressive outlook.

This is primarily an office based role, from our offices in Santa Monica, CA.
