We are working with a cutting-edge aerospace and defense company dedicated to advancing the frontiers of space exploration and technology. We specialize in providing innovative solutions for satellite systems, space exploration missions, and command and control operations. As we continue to expand our presence in the space industry, we are seeking a talented and dynamic Business Development Director to lead our efforts in the Space Development Agency (SDA) and Space Command and Control (C2) Missions sector.

Position Overview: As the Business Development Director for Space, you will be responsible for driving business growth and establishing strategic partnerships within the SDA and C2 missions domain. You will work closely with government agencies, industry partners, and internal stakeholders to identify new business opportunities, develop winning strategies, and achieve revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business development plans to capture opportunities within the Space Development Agency and Space C2 Missions sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in government agencies, including the Department of Defense and the Space Force.
  • Identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to inform business strategy and product development initiatives.
  • Lead proposal efforts, including bid strategy, teaming arrangements, and proposal development, to secure new contracts and funding opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, and legal, to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our capabilities and expand our market presence.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, with a proven track record of success in the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Deep understanding of the Space Development Agency and Space Command and Control missions landscape, including knowledge of relevant programs, initiatives, and procurement processes.
  • Strong network of contacts within the Department of Defense, Space Force, and industry partners involved in space systems development and operations.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts and build consensus among diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) for tracking business development activities and managing customer relationships.
