Our client are a company focused on sustainable Lithium-Ion battery recycling, particularly for those used in EV (Electric Vehicles), and ESS (Energy Storage Systems); to recover valuable materials such as lithium, nickel, cobalt and other critical minerals.
They are looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager to join their teams in Germany.
Key responsibilities:
· Conducting market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitor activities in the battery recycling industry.
· Developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy based on market research to drive revenue growth for the company's li-ion battery recycling plants.
· Leading sales presentations, pitches, and negotiations to secure contracts and partnerships and achieve sales targets.
· Identifying, negotiating and establishing strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in the battery industry, including manufacturers and government agencies.
· Collaborating with potential clients and partners to understand their needs and tailor solutions that align with the company's mission and capabilities.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking and cultivating relationships with potential customers, partners, and stakeholders.
· Collaborating closely with technical, engineering, and operations teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and the company's capabilities.
· Representing the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and other events to enhance brand visibility and to build and maintain a positive brand image.
· Monitoring sales performance, analyzing market trends, and preparing regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and forecasts.
Qualifications:
· Proven track record in sales, business development, and achieving revenue targets, ideally within the industrial or environmental technology sectors.
· Deep understanding of the Industry to grasp the competitive landscape, customer visions and pain points as well as competition to maintain a competitive edge.
· Relevant educational background in business, engineering, or a related field, coupled with several years of experience in business development or sales roles within the industrial or environmental sectors.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills (in German and English) to effectively convey technical information, present proposals, and represent the company at various forums.
· High social competence and resilience, as well as a willingness to travel.
