Area Operations Manager - Aggregates

CSG Talent are currently looking for an Area Operations Manager within Aggregates for a leading US Construction Materials company. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple sites within the New York region.

Core responsibilities:

  • Evaluate plant asset performance, procedure effectiveness, and personnel productivity, implementing improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost savings.
  • Develop and execute annual operating and capital budgets, including capital expenditure requests.
  • Foster and promote a culture of safety, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Identify and nurture talented individuals at all organizational levels to enhance team capabilities and strengthen the talent pool for key roles, both hourly and salaried.
  • Assess the performance of subordinates, providing coaching to help them reach their full potential.
  • Lead the team and supporting functions effectively to achieve organizational goals related to safety, environmental compliance, profitability, productivity, efficiency, production costs, and quality.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within operations.
  • Collaborate with the local Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager to ensure a safe working environment, adhering to all company standards and external regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships within the local communities surrounding the operations.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Must have 5 years experience managing aggregate operations.
  • Preferrable bachelors degree in engineering.
  • Demonstrated leadership and staff development skills.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Motivated to travel between sites, manage multiple priorities, and address urgent situations.
