Account Executive - SAP & Data Services Sales
Overview
This is a high-impact new business role focused on selling SAP services, data solutions, and emerging AI-driven capabilities into the Life Sciences sector. You will work with early-stage biotech and diagnostics innovators through to large, established pharmaceutical and medical technology organizations-helping them modernize core systems, unlock operational efficiencies, and accelerate scientific and commercial outcomes.
You'll be joining a fast-growing, tech-forward organization where you'll own the full sales cycle, influence senior stakeholders, and shape how Life Sciences companies adopt SAP, cloud, data, and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive net-new business across SAP services, data/analytics programs, and AI-enabled transformation solutions.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of Life Sciences prospects-from seed-stage biotech to enterprise pharma.
- Partner with C-Suite, IT leadership, and functional business owners to understand digital, regulatory, and operational challenges.
- Translate technical capabilities (SAP, data integration, AI models, system interoperability) into clear commercial value.
- Work closely with delivery, architecture, and compliance teams to design solutions aligned with industry standards.
- Maintain accurate reporting, forecasting, and KPI management across cross-functional teams.
Industry & Functional Expertise Required
- 5-10 years experience in healthcare technology, Life Sciences operations, or digital transformation sales.
- Deep understanding of the Life Sciences value chain-R&D, clinical operations, manufacturing, quality, regulatory, and commercial.
- Hands-on experience driving data/analytics outcomes: operational efficiency, reduced cycle times, improved patient or trial outcomes, or enhanced decision-making.
- Comfortable analysing KPIs, building business cases, and communicating insight to senior stakeholders.
Technical Knowledge
- Solid understanding of SAP software, services, licensing, and integration points.
- Knowledge of how SAP platforms connect with clinical systems, lab systems, and patient-facing tools.
- Awareness of Life Sciences compliance and governance (e.g., GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, audit controls, data integrity).
- Familiarity with cloud-based architectures, middleware, and enterprise data environments is a plus.
Ideal Candidate Background
- Experience working for or selling with a software integrator, digital consultancy, SI, or SAP partner targeting the Life Sciences sector.
- Previously sold or supported sales of SAP transformation programmes, data platforms, or AI/ML-driven solutions.
- Worked closely with C-Suite, IT leadership, clinical operations, and compliance teams within pharma, biotech, or medtech.
- Strong relationship-builder with the ability to influence regulated environments and long decision cycles.
