Field Applications Specialist

Field Applications Specialist – Flow Cytometry (South UK – Cambridge, Oxford, London)

This role will involve acting as the trusted expert giving scientific advice, applications support and training to customers with a focus on a variety of Flow Cytometry products.

The ideal candidate MUST be passionate about Flow Cytometry.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-house and on-site scientific application support and training
  • Assists customers with Flow Cytometry workflow development, optimization and implementation
  • Maintains a high level of expertise in instruments, reagent and software and applications and develops expertise on new products.
  • Support the sales team in the achievement of regional sales targets by supporting pre- and post- sales related customer support activities
  • Provides on-site and remote technical support to resolve customer escalations through in-depth troubleshooting
  • Provides support for Sales/marketing events, including technical support for trade shows sponsored seminar series and user group meetings

 

Minimum Personal requirements

  • Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree, (MSc or PhD preferred )in a life science subject
  • A minimum of 5 years practical multi-parameter Flow Cytometry experience, design of antibody panels and preferentially flow sorting experience
  • Flexibility for domestic travel up to 70% of the time, you will also be required to visit the headquarters in Europe or to attend international conferences.
  • A full valid driving licence
