Regional Sales Manager - Roofing - South

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the Regional Sales Manager - Roofing - South you will work in conjunction with the technical department to develop the key distribution strategies for the brand to acquire new customers and deliver category growth through an effective contractor network.

  • To develop specification sales of the company's premier products into major client groups, architects and approved contractors.
  • Undertake sales/technical presentations (CPDs) to develop specification sales.
  • Provide site surveys, technical advice/guidance & prepare proposal specifications for prospective customers/projects
  • Maintain responsibility of key accounts
  • Develop specification bank through sales effort with specifiers and key clients
  • Develop and implement a territory business plan in order to achieve sales and margin targets
  • Monitor sales and margin performance against targets and advise line manager of appropriate/necessary actions require

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 4+ years' experience in a Regional Sales Manager/Area sales position or similar
  • Experience working with Specification/Technical Sales
  • Have knowledge of relevant contractors in the area or surrounding areas
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Confidence to deal with individuals at all levels of a company
  • Good attention to detail with a highly determined attitude.
  • Ability to procure information / material from minimum information
  • Ability to understand complex messages or information with clarity
  • Analytical mind frame
  • Ability to apply high-level negotiation skills
