ROLE

The Management Accountant will assist the Commercial Manager / Senior Management Accountant in providing support to specific branches in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting and analysis.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring accurate month end reporting with variance analysis, assisting in the budget cycle, and assist with performing trend and financial analysis for the Commercial Manager / Senior Management Accountant.

The role will be a broad and dynamic one requiring strong attention to detail, good organisational skills and analytical thinking.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure completion of specific branch month end processes in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsibility for preparation of various branch business centre profit and loss reports and providing commentary on the variances
  • Assist with the Budget process
  • Assist with Branch analysis
  • Drive reporting improvements

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum CA/CPA qualification with a professional practice background in audit or business services and two years post-professional in a commercial environment, preferably manufacturing
  • Strong core technical knowledge of accounting standards and taxation legislation.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (intermediate level of Excel is a requirement, knowledge of intermediate Excel functions)
  • JDE or ERP System knowledge would be preferred.
