CSG Talent are currently partnered with a young, well funded start-up company focusing on fulfilling the need for ultra-sensitive immunoassays in nanoscopic fragments, innovating the current technology standard. We are seeking an individual who is a leader and has demonstrated success throughout their career who will relish the challenge of building an up and coming company into a market leader.

The position of Head of Application Development entails the crucial responsibility of developing and providing support for technology applications with customers and strategic partners. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and working closely with the Commercial Team, the role requires active involvement in product and work-flow development activities, as well as fostering relationships with key customers, key opinion leaders, and strategic partners. The Head of Application Development is expected to assume a leadership role and possess extensive expertise on the platform and its applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume leadership of application development and field application functions.
  • Conduct complex experiments across various product areas, developing, planning, conducting, and documenting results.
  • Perform laboratory experiments in adherence to established protocols and company procedures, while also innovating and creating new protocols for existing or emerging technologies.
  • Provide inputs for product management and new product development from a customer standpoint.
  • Convey customer pain points and potential solutions as integral inputs to the new product development process.
  • Articulate inputs for product road maps and corporate strategy in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to develop technical customer content, such as new data and application notes, work flows, and assay solutions.
  • Develop platform protocols and translate them into commercial documents.
  • Lead the development and creation of external technical documentation, including instructions for use (IFUs), product data sheets, and the production and editing process for application notes.
  • Take ownership of customer technical success by delivering scientific, technical, and product training and support.
  • Support the sales and strategic partnership processes by delivering presentations on the technology and platform to customers and partners.
  • Stay abreast of competitors and key applications in the field.
  • Represent the organisation at conferences, trade-shows, and academic lectures.

Requirements:

  • Hold a PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or Molecular Biology, accompanied by extensive experience in immunoassays. Alternatively, possess a relevant BS/MS degree and demonstrate more than 10 years of progressive industry experience in assay or molecular biology technology development, field applications, and/or diagnostics lab test management and team leadership.
  • Possess a strong network within the drug development and contract research industry.
  • Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of immunoassay technologies, methods, and strategies.
  • Ideally, possess in-depth knowledge of immunology, oncology, or neurology.
