ROLE

The Commercial Manager/ Senior Management Accountant will provide support to the window division in all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of accurate month-end reporting with variance analysis, driving the budget cycle, and performing trend and financial analysis for the branches of the Group.

The role will be a broad and dynamic one requiring you to partner closely with key stakeholders across the business to provide timely and accurate financial insights to support decision-making.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Ensure completion of branch month end branch processes in a timely and accurate manner.

  • Responsibility with the team for preparation and review of various branch business centre profit and loss reports and providing managers with commentary on the variances
  • Responsible for the monthly summaries of sales and gross margins.
  • Drive the Budget process,
  • Branch analysis,
  • Preparing models to assess future profitability of identified opportunities
  • Drive reporting improvements,
  • Taking a lead role in solving commercial issues that may arise
  • Review and maintain relevant financial policies and procedures
  • Working with Group Finance to support improvement in business financial management capability through technology, giving greater access to information, drivers of performance and dashboards

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum CA/CPA qualification with a professional practice background in audit or business services and five years post-professional in a commercial environment, preferably manufacturing
  • Strong core technical knowledge of accounting standards and taxation legislation.
  • Confident communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint (intermediate level of Excel is a requirement, knowledge of intermediate Excel functions)
  • JDE or ERP System knowledge would be preferred.
