Yusen Logistics are a leading provider of supply chain and transport solutions with over 25 years of service in Australia. With 20 locations throughout Australia and one location in Auckland, New Zealand, they have over 460 staff covering international freight forwarding, in-house customs clearance, contract logistics (warehousing and distribution) services and sensitive freight solutions. Yusen provides vertical specialisations across numerous key industries including Retail and Fashion, Healthcare, Technology, Automotive, Project infrastructure and Aerospace.
After successfully placing a number of key positions within their organisation, CSG’s consultant was approached by Yusen’s Managing Director, with the Business Improvement Manager vacancy. As such a key role in a growing, global company, this position required a candidate with a very specific blend of skills and work experience. The role had vast range of responsibilities, managing a large part of the company’s improvement and innovation strategy, so it was pivotal to get someone with the appropriate leadership style.

We then carried out numerous internal interviews, both face to face and via telephone overseas, selecting candidates based on experience, recommendations, motivations and culture fit. Throughout the whole process CSG maintained regular contact with Yusen.
Our consultant then conducted an in depth, direct head hunt search through CSG's vast network of candidates. CSG conducted expansive networking through our database, taking leads from personal recommendations, candidate references and our own research of the field.
To begin the process, CSG's consultant carried out a detailed market map, and a thorough research of the location he was recruiting into.
