This is a Tier-1 organisation, with award-winning employer status, who regularly partner on Australia's largest joint-ventures and engineering projects. Based out of their Melbourne offices, we require an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer, with expertise in data centre design in the ANZ market.

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will be positioned as the second in command for the data centre electrical design unit in Victoria. Within this design team there are currently 7 engineers, from grade 1 to grade 5. You will sit at grade 6, which will position you in-line for an Associate Director level position in the future.

As a Senior member of the team, in addition to design duties you will be expected to take on client responsibilities. This will involve engagement with many of the major data centre operators in Australia.

Although this role is specifically focused on data centre design, there will be an array of technical challenges and involvements across other building sectors. Therefor you will be expected to demonstrate a strong track-record of technical achievement and design skill from past projects such as high-rise commercial and residential towers, retail centres, heritage buildings, large healthcare, and lab facilities.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum BEng in Electrical Engineering or similar
• CPEng status is advantageous
• Electrical design experience for Data Centre projects - Required
• Experience working for a Building Services Consultancy will be highly regarded
• Ability to manage project priorities and communicate effectively with both internal and external clients
• Ability to collaborate and think outside the box to solve problems
• Ability to collaborate within multidiscipline environments
